The Occurrence of Salmonella O-Antigens in Coliform Organisms

[摘要] Five cultures of coliform organisms are described which contain Salmonella antigens. The flagellar antigens of these bacteria have no relationship to Salmonella.One O-antigen was found to have the same formula as that of S. onderstepoort . Once the complete O-antigen of S. worthington , and in four cases components of the O-antigens of S. worthington, S. poona and the O-antigen I were found. In four strains there were residual non-Salmonella antigenic components.
