Prophylactic Use of Schistosomal Antigen

[摘要] The administration of a Schistosoma mansoni antigen, prepared from adult worms to mice, before exposing the mice to 10 cercariae each, was associated to a statistically significant degree with a reduction in the number of cercariae which developed into adult worms.1. 2. There was no evidence that the antigen had a marked effect, if any, on rate of development; nor that one sex was more susceptible; nor that the localization of the worm was affected.
