Rabbit γA- and γM-Immunoglobulins with Allotypic Specificities Controlled by the α Locus

[摘要] The γG-immunoglobulin heavy chain antigenic determinants controlled by a gene at the a locus have been found on γM-immunoglobulin from serum and γA-immunoglobulin from colostrum. The presence on the heavy chain of common antigenic determinants for three different classes of immunoglobulins is indicative of a common peptide structure controlled either by the same genetic unit or by different genetic units which can code separately for a common peptide structure.
