COMBINED USE OF ANGIOCARDIOGRAPHY AND CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF CONGENITAL ANOMALIES OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM

[摘要] The findings of cardiac catheterization and angiocardiography in three cyanotic children with congenital anomalies of the heart and great vessels have been presented to demonstrate the value of these procedures, particularly in elucidating problems in connection with the pulmonary artery. In the fourth case of acyanotic cardiovascular disease the relationship between the two methods is further illustrated. No toxic reactions have occurred in 51 injections of 70% diodrast. Following a cardiac catheterization with an angiocardiogram does not appear to increase the risk of either procedure.
