REPORT OF TWO YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN THE TRANSPORTATION OF PREMATURE INFANTS IN NEW YORK CITY

[摘要] This report has presented some facts about premature infants based on a two year experience in the transportation of 1,209 small prematurely born infants to special "premature centers" in New York City. The data point the way for further developments in a program of care for the premature infant and in the prevention of premature labor. The importance of the parallel development of a sound maternity program and a special program to care for the prematurely born infant is emphasized.
