THALASSEMIA IN NEGROES

[摘要] A case with typical features of Cooley's anemia is reported in a two year old Negro male. Thalassemia minor was found in each generation of this family and could be traced down to the patient. The fact that both mother and father have the trait is compatible with the homozygous-heterozygous theory of Neel.
