CHILDREN CONTINUE TO SMOKE
[摘要] Children, especially girls, are smoking at younger ages. Smoking among high school seniors, which had been declining for years, leveled off from 1980 through 1987. One-quarter of high school seniors who have ever smoked had their first cigarette by the sixth grade, and half by the eighth grade. There is a growing consensus that smoking prevention education needs to begin in elementary school.
