LOW ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY IN SERUM OF PREMATURE NEONATES

[摘要] Antioxidant activity showed a significant positive association with birth-weight . . . The present data suggest one important effect of increased non-heme iron may be to neutralize much of the premature infant's scarce antioxidant activity, thereby sharply increasing vulnerability to oxygen.
