TREATMENT OF DISSEMINATED INFANTILE HISTOPLASMOSIS WITH AMPHOTERICIN B

[摘要] Four cases with disseminated histoplasmosis are reported; three were in children under 12 months of age.All responded gratifyingly to amphotericin B therapy given intravenously.The value of Heiner's agar-gel technique for histoplasmin precipitin as a diagnostic tool was substantiated.Further therapeutic trial of amphotericin B in disseminated infantile histoplasmosis seems warranted.
