IN VITRO COMPARISON OF THE ANTITHROMBIC ACTION OF HEPARIN AND CHONDROITINSULFURIC ACID-B

[摘要] The antithrombic activity of chondroitin-sulfuric acid B (CSA-B) and heparin were compared by three methods.CSA-B, like heparin, requires a plasma or serum cofactor for antithrombic activity.At low thrombin concentrations and in the presence of plasma, CSA-B was found to have more antithrombic activity than heparin. At high thrombin concentrations the antithrombic activity of CSA-B was not only diminished but inhibited the antithrombic activity of plasma and plasma-heparin mixtures.At high concentrations, CSA-B has an anticoagulant activity on whole blood in vitro.
