POLIOMYELITIS VIREMIA IN A NEWBORN INFANT

[摘要] Poliomyelitis viremia is described in an infant 3 days of age, born to a mother suffering from paralytic poliomyelitis at time of birth. The infant did well for the first 4 days, but on the fifth developed a saddletype fever which lasted for five days. At the age of 12 days flaccid paralysis of the left extremity developed, followed by incomplete recovery.
