Meconium and Faecal Plugs in the Newborn

[摘要] This paper presents the clinical manifestations of a series of patients whose manifestations were believed to have developed on the basis of the alterations in meconium described in the paper above. Ten cases are described in which there was obstruction in the first few weeks of life; four attributable to meconium plugs and six apparently due to hard fecal material leading to perforation of the bowel between the ages of 4 days and 5 weeks.
