Diagnosis of Vein of Galen Arteriovenous Malformation by Two-Dimensional Ultrasound and Pulsed Doppler Method

[摘要] An arteriovenous malformation of the vein of Galen was diagnosed using two-dimensional ultrasound and pulsed Doppler method. These revealed an echo-free intracranial mass with venous flow, thus confirming the clinical impression. As a result of these findings, the patient was not subjected to cardiac catheterization; and the next phase of patient management was computed tomography.
