Membranous Laryngotracheobronchitis

[摘要] The etiology, clinical presentation, and therapeutic strategies associated with membranous laryngotracheobronchitis are discussed. A case is presented in which a lateral neck radiograph gave the preliminary impression of a tracheal foreign body. Endoscopic examination of the upper airway revealed the correct diagnosis of acute membranous laryngotracheobronchitis. Comparison with the more commonly occurring viral laryngotracheobronchitis is made.
