SINGAPORE TO LIMIT PHYSICIANS
[摘要] Singapore imposed curbs on new physicians to prevent excessive demand for medical services that could inflate health costs and undermine rapid economic growth. The government reduced to 15 from 40 a year the maximum registrations of foreign doctors, said it would freeze at 150 a year the admissions of National University medical students, and slashed to 28 from 176 the foreign medical schools Singaporeans may attend if they want to return to practice medicine.
