DETERMINATION OF THE OXYGEN CONTENT OF CAPILLARY BLOOD IN CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE

[摘要] A previously described technic of collecting and analyzing capillary blood for oxygen content has been modified slightly and applied in the study of children with congenital heart disease. Samples obtained and analyzed in this manner differed in oxygen content from simultaneously drawn arterial samples by no more than 0.4 volumes per cent. The value of the technic in the study of congenital heart disease has been illustrated.
