CALCIFICATION OF THE ARTERIES IN INFANCY AND CHILDHOOD

[摘要] Eight cases of calcification of the arteries have been described, six infants and two older children. The arterial lesions in all are similar, consisting of a deposit of calcium on the internal elastic lamina followed by more extensive calcification and fibrous thickening of the intima. The aetiology of the infantile condition is unknown. The lesions in the older children are probably secondary to renal disease.
