CLINICAL AND LABORATORY DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN HERPANGINA AND INFECTIOUS (HERPETIC) GINGIVOSTOMATITIS

[摘要] Thirteen cases of herpangina and 12 cases of gingivostomatitis were studied as to etiology and clinical picture. In almost all cases the clinical impression was confirmed by virus isolation. Tests done to establish other possible etiologic agents for these diseases were either negative or not statistically significant. The importance of these findings as they apply to diagnosis and treatment is discussed.
