Tough Love: Help for Parents with Troubled Teenagers—Reorganizing the Hierarchy in Disorganized Families

[摘要] There has been confusion among professionals and the public about the purpose and appropriateness of the "tough love" approach to parenting troubled teenagers. This article addresses some of the questions and tries to clarify misconceptions about the tough love approach. A description of a model "Tough Love" training/support group and results of parent feedback surveys are included to provide a clearer picture of the goals and effectiveness of tough love.
