SUCCESSFULLY TREATED CANDIDA ENDOPHTHALMITIS IN A CHILD

[摘要] A 12-year-old boy with ulcerative colitis developed persistent fever following colectomy and protracted medical management including central hyperalimentation. Candida sepsis, meningitis, and endophthalmitis were diagnosed on the basis of the eye lesions and early cultures, and the child was treated with amphotericin B. The neurological signs cleared, and visual acuity improved dramatically.
