A TRIBUTE TO DR. CLEMENT A. SMITH

[摘要] Clement Smith's stature is preeminent for his contributions to the development of the field of neonatology. He has capped his career by more than a decade of superb editorship of Pediatrics. As editor, he has maintained standards of excellence and good taste in the contents of the journal and has attracted scholarly research articles of future importance to clinical work as well as ones of practical use in pediatricians' care of children today. He has had the gentleness to soften the blows of rejection to writers. He has also maintained toughness and high standards in order to obtain the needed revisions of accepted articles.
