HISTOPLASMOSIS AS A CAUSE OF ACUTE MYOCARDITIS AND PERICARDITIS

[摘要] A case of myocarditis and pericarditis due to histoplasmosis is presented. The similarity of this illness to rheumatic fever is cited. In endemic areas, the use of serologic diagnostic methods for the diagnosis of histoplasmosis should be considered in cases of myocarditis when other causes are eliminated.
