Transforming Interprofessional Partnerships: A New Framework for Nursing and Partnership-Based Health Care

[摘要] This comprehensive text examines the current state of interdisciplinary partnerships to break down the barriers of hierarchies of domination and to build a more effective, caring, and sustainable health care environment. Transforming Interprofessional Partnerships begins with a section devoted to creating a shared identity between physicians and nurses. The authors’ premise is that medicine is defined as “the art of healing or making whole.” This definition is the foundation for interprofessional practice in which physicians and nurses are equals and bring their unique medical contributions to benefit patients and families.
