Person and Family Centered Care

[摘要] Person- (or patient-) and family-centered care (PFCC) has become the latest buzzword in the world of health care. We chase patient satisfaction scores that will boost reimbursement. New initiatives are started without consulting those who are at the bedside with patients and families. Many times the patients and families do not understand what their role in “participating in their care” means.
