A ciência do corpo: o logro da indústria cultural através das revistas ISTO É e VEJA

[摘要] O presente trabalho busca analisar o uso do rótulo da ciência pela Indústria Cultural com a finalidade de lograr seus consumidores a fim de conformá-los e reificá-los perante a barbárie da sociedade em que vivemos, oferecendo a eles apenas uma semiformação.Para alcançar tal intento a investigação parte da análise de algumas reportagens de capa veiculadas pelas revistas Veja e Istoé no período de 2001 a 2004, que trazem como temática o corpo, através das discussões sobre beleza, saúde e sexo.Palavras Chaves: Corpo; Ciência; Indústria Cultural.

ABSTRACT

The present work aims to analyze the use of the “science label” by the Cultural Industry. With the purpose of achieving its consumers, conforms them with the barbarism of the current society, just offering them fake information. To reach this goal, the investigation examines some cover reports published by Veja and Istoé Magazines, from 2001 to 2004, that have the human body as a theme and discuss beauty, health and sex.Keywords: Body; Science; Cultural Industry.
