Técnicas de orientação e mobilidade para pessoas cegas: reflexões na perspectiva da educação física

[摘要] Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma reflexão sobre as técnicas de Orientação e Mobilidade (OM), tendo como base de análise os pressupostos da Educação Física e as possíveis contribuições dessa área para a aquisição de conceitos por parte das pessoas cegas. Para tanto, utilizamos a pesquisa bibliográfica resgatando a realidade histórica dos cegos e as técnicas de Orientação e Mobilidade, suas características e possibilidades. Relacionamos estas técnicas com os possíveis auxílios que a Educação Física pode oferecer para o aperfeiçoamento da aprendizagem e/ou aproveitamento funcional da utilização dessas técnicas, pelo fato de ser uma área que trabalha o ser humano em movimento, podendo, assim, contribuir com os estímulos motores dos indivíduos. Nesse sentido, oferece condições para que a pessoa cega tenha uma melhoria tanto em suas habilidades motoras quanto em suas capacidades físicas. ABSTRACT

This article aims to present a reflection on the techniques of Orientation and Mobility (OM), based on analysis of the assumptions of Physical Education and its possible contribution area for the acquisition of concepts by the blind people. We used the literature rescuing the historical reality of the blind and the techniques of Orientation and Mobility, their characteristics and possibilities. We list these techniques with the possible aid that physical education can make to enhancing the learning and / or use functional use of these techniques, because it is an area that works for humans in motion, and thus can contribute to the stimuli engines of individuals.
