DRGs: An Attempt to Hold Down the Cost of Medicare

[摘要] The purpose of this project is to determine whether or not the DRG system is functioning to control the high cost of health and hospital services for hip-replacement patients. The specific research problem involved in this effort is to compare the cost to the Medicare program for these types of operations, before and after the introduction of the DRGs.
