Tejano Culture: Cultural Evolution as a Means of Social and Economic Advancement

[摘要] This paper explores the manner in which Tejano culture has evolved to incorporate aspects of other cultures (primarily Anglo-American) into their own. It argues that this practice has allowed Tejanos to avoid full assimilation and to overcome past and present challenges they have encountered. The argument is dominantly supported by journal articles, professional studies, oral history interviews, and newspaper articles.
