The vascular flora and phytosociology of navigation pool #8, the upper Mississippi River

[摘要] This thesis deals with the vascular flora and itsphytosociology in Navigation Pool #8 of the Upper Mississippi River. The habitats of the area are, for the most part, influenced by permanent or temporal inundation by the river. The construction of levees and the deposition of dredge material have added large areas of man-made habitat to thisarea that now may not be inundated.
