Left vcntricuk function during anobic and resistance exercise

[摘要] Resistance exercise (RE) has become an important component of cardiac rehabilitation programs.However, the potential for exaggerated BP responses during RE raises concerns about the stability of LV function during RE.To address this, we studied healthy controls (HC) (N=12, 8M/4F), patients with stable coronary artery disease (CAD) (N=12, 11 M/1F), and patients with stable heart failure (CHF) (N=12, 7M/5F). Ss were studied during upright cycling at 90% of ventilatory threshold and during 1 set of 10 repetitions of RE (leg press, shoulder press, and biceps curls) in the upright posture.
