A la recherche des "Lois de la Pensée". Sur l'épistémologie du calcul logique et du calcul des probabilités chez Boole

[摘要] In G. Boole's conceptions, both "logic" and "calculus of probabilities" converged to transcript the "laws of thought" into symbolic mathematical writing. This process turned out to be quasi-experimental for Boole (when referring to the necessity of introspection), but also profoundly mathematical, deep-rooted in some subtle calculation techniques. We shall investigate, in the Laws of Thought, the articulation between logic and probabilities, and also describe the viewpoints it may propose to the contemporary reader on the modern "discrete calculus", as well as on a possible starting point for measure theory.
