Separation of Proteins in Concentrated Cerebrospinal Fluid by Two-Dimensional Electrophoresis in Acrylamide Gel

[摘要] Two-dimensional electrophoresis in acrylamide was used to separate the proteins in concentrated cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). More than 60 such components could be detected, twice as many as separated by conventional polyacrylamide techniques. Many of the proteins were common to CSF and serum. The high resolution attainable with this procedure may make it useful in detecting specific CSF alterations associated with neurologic diseases.
