WebCitings

[摘要] With this issue we begin a new feature, “WebCitings”. ⇓ Our review of books has expanded to include software and, over the past decade, resources distributed via the worldwide web. The “Book, Software, and Web Site Reviews” section of this journal has covered these materials with an emphasis roughly that implied by the sequence in the title. A traditional “book review” approach is often ill-suited for coverage of most websites because they are an ever-moving target. In addition, unlike printed books or software, no financial outlay is usually required and access does not require purchase orders, telephone calls, or even a browse of amazon.com. Figure 1.
