Land Use Planning Project Based on Soil Suitabilities in Northern Stevens Point

[摘要] A study was made of over 1000 acres in the northernStevens Point area to examine past land uses from 1938,1968, and 1975 airphotos and their compatibility withsoils. Most of the land uses were not compatible withsoil suitabilities and there did not seem to be anycorrelation between land use development and suitablesoil sites. Most of the soils are too wet for development,especially residential use and sanitary facilities(sanitary landfill, septic tank filter field, and sewagelagoon).
