Interferences in the Colorimetric Determination of Glucuronic Acid in Blood Serum

[摘要] The naphthoresorcinol reaction for the colorimetric determination of glucuronic acid has been investigated. The interference of glucose has been minimized by incorporating glucose, to approximate serum levels, in the glucuronolactone standards and adhering to exact analytic conditions. The colored product is extracted into β,β dichloroethyl ether and the absorbance is measured at 580 mµ.
