The Use of lon-Free Serum as a Standard in Clinical Chemistry

[摘要] An "ion-free serum" is commercially available which is free of most inorganic ions, several enzymes, and many small organic molecules. Other materials are considerably reduced in amount.The use of this serum for the preparation of blood chemistry standards is described. Varying amounts of ion-free serum and the desired constituent are combined at the time of analysis to cover any range desired. The advantages of this serum are increased accuracy, avoidance of deterioration, and greater versatility.
