An Automated Method for the Measurement of Plasma Hemoglobin
[摘要] An automated method for the determination of hemoglobin concentrations normally present in plasma is described. The method was developed from the manual technics of Crosby and Furth, and Hanks (2, 7) . The procedure is based on the development of a green chromogen which results when hemoglobin reacts with benzidine and hydrogen peroxide. The results of the automated method compared well with the manual procedure. In addition, there was good precision over the concentration range of 1-5 mg/100 ml. Normals were found to range between 0.8 to 4.6 mg/100 ml with a mean of 2.4 mg/100 ml.
