Determination of Serum Lipoproteins by Paper Electrophoresis after Preliminary Staining with Sudan Black-B

[摘要] A modification of McDonald's method for the determination of serum lipoproteins is described in which serum is prestained with Sudan Black B dye before paper electrophoretic separation.Normal values were determined in 24 adults. Average value for α lipoproteins was 39.2 per cent and for β lipoproteins 60.8 per cent. In 31 patients with proved coronary artery disease, 22.7 per cent α lipoprotein and 77.3 per cent β lipoprotein were found. These results are in general agreement with those of other investigators using different methods.
