[摘要] Multiple myeloma is named for the multiple lesions that form as malignant plasma cells appear in patients' bone marrow but, because these malignant cells produce substantial amounts of monoclonal immunoglobulin, their reach extends beyond the bones—and even beyond the patient. The authors of this clinical case study have nicely documented 3 of the well-known effects these immunoglobulins have on laboratory testing in vitro.
