The Ubiquitous Existence of MicroRNA in Body Fluids

Our Clinical Chemistry article featured here was a comprehensive survey of cell-free miRNA in different body fluids and demonstrated the existence of miRNA in all 12 different fluids tested. This finding suggested that cell-free miRNAs, like proteins and other biomolecules, were likely to exist in all bodily fluids and set the groundwork for exploring miRNA based disease markers in different biofluids.
