A Rapid Screening Method for the Elimination of Cross-Contamination in the Determination of Protein-Bound Iodine

[摘要] The described method should be of value as a rapid Screening process to eliminate serum containing a nonphysiologic high amount of iodine, thereby preventing contamination of other samples in the ashing oven. The advantage over other published methods is that it does not require special reagents or special equipment. The sensitivity is in the range of 300-400 µg. and total time required about 15-20 minutes.
