Calculation of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol with use of triglyceride/cholesterol ratios in lipoproteins compared with other calculation methods.

[摘要] Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was calculated with a formula that utilizes the triglyceride/cholesterol ratios in the different lipoprotein fractions, and also with different modifications of the Friedewald formula. Results of the former calculation correlated well with the ultracentrifugation-derived values and performed better than the other calculations at different lipid concentrations.
