Measurement of Serum Glutamic Oxalacetic Transaminase
[摘要] The measurement at 340 mµ of the rate at which NADH is oxidized is the most reliable method for estimation of serum glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase (SGOT), but the technic is often thought too cumbersome for routine application. Described are several methodological improvements in earlier methods, including reagent control, a standardized program for making readings, and a nomographic method of calculation, all of which taken together provide new speed and accuracy in estimating SGOT. The method described is well-suited for routine clinical application.
