An Improved Method for the Measurement of Urinary 17-Ketosteroids of Small Laboratory Animals

[摘要] A modified procedure for the estimation of urinary 17-ketosteroids includes the addition of formalin to urine before hot-acid hydrolysis and a separation of Zimmerman chromogen from nonspecific chromogen. Values of 17-ketosteroids are reported for the castrate rat and the intact guinea-pig following ACTH administration.
