Leksikografiese kriteria vir 'n tweerigtingvakwoordeboek: Afrikaans-Italiaans en Italiaans-Afrikaans

[摘要] English: This study has focused on lexicographical research with a view to determining theneeds of the Afrikaans lexicography with regards to a Romance language such asItalian. A bilingual technical dictionary is not available in Afrikaans and Italian, andneither is a general learners' dictionary aimed at learning the two specified languages.Adopting a more general perspective with regards to bilingual lexicography,the focus has fallen on a bilingual, technical-lexicographical subject as a concise,practical example. The purpose was to generate criteria in a field of research thathas not yet been explored.The study clearly shows that a bilingual lexicographical work between Afrikaans andItalian should indeed be encouraged. Obstacles have been identified and possiblesolutions generated which may serve as a basic proposal and point of departure forfuture and more market-orientated lexicographical projects between Afrikaans andEnglish.
