[摘要] The Journal has made considerable efforts in the last 2 years to further hasten publication of scientific information. The time required to publish an accepted article has decreased by >33% (Fig. 1⇓ ). The steps in publication of an accepted manuscript include such things as copy-editing, author approval of proofs, printing, binding, mailing, and posting at http://www.clinchem.org. On the day of publication, Clinical Chemistry Online includes complete links from all references to the full text of the cited papers at >150 top journals at HighWire Press and to the abstracts of cited papers published in the >4000 MedLine-listed journals at PubMed. The Clinical Chemistry articles are also listed at PubMed (MedLine) within hours of publication with links to the full text at the Journal’s web site. Figure 1.
