Method for Rapid Infrared Microdetermination of Serum Carbonate

[摘要] Carbonate is determined in serum by infrared absorption measurement of the carbon dioxide evolved upon acidification. The determination requires 1 min and a 50-µl sample. The method has a coefficient of variation of 2.0% for samples in the normal range.
