Hydrochlorothiazide Interference with Urinary Estriol Determination

[摘要] The commonly used diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide, interferes with the determination of urinary estriol, by destroying the latter during acid hydrolysis. Urine specimens from pregnant patients taking this diuretic may therefore show falsely low estriol values.
