A "Wash-out Pipet System" for Sampling Red Blood Cells

[摘要] A "Wash-Out Pipet System" is described for sampling erythrocytes in heparinized blood. Packed red blood cells are drawn into a 1.0 ml pipet, washed out of the pipet, and diluted to at least 50 ml, causing the cells to lyse. The pipet is blown dry with air and is ready for use again in less than 20 s.
