A Rapid Complexometric Titration of Serum Calcium

[摘要] The procedure of Yarbro and Golby (2) for the determination of urinary calcium has been modified for use in determining serum calcium on 0.2 to 2 ml. of serum. Ferrous iron in concentrations that might be expected in serum from partially hemolyzed blood does riot interfere. Variation among calcium determinations on replicate samples of serum was within ±4 per cent, and recoveries of calcium added to serum ranged from 94 to 103 per cent. An individual determination of serum calcium by this procedure requires 3-5 minutes.
